NEW WALK IN SPORTS INJURY CLINIC

The Active Recovery Clinic is now offering a weekly walk in sports injury clinic for acute sports injuries every Monday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.  This is a unique clinic, located in the Courtice Health Centre providing immediate access for injured athletes to physiotherapists experienced in sports injuries.  Athletes will undergo a comprehensive assessment.  Advice regarding your injury as well as return to sport guidelines will be provided.  The physiotherapist will make appropriate referrals to ensure that you receive the care necessary for a speedy recovery.  Referrals may be to your family physician for consulting re medication, further investigation, etc.  Depending on the injury, different forms of treatment may be recommended and may include physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, or acupuncture.  If the injury is severe enough – referral to our sports Injury orthopaedic surgeon for a consult can be made.

Athletes can either come during the clinic hours on a first come first serve basis to be assessed or you can secure a specific time in the clinic by calling and scheduling an appointment.
